Year 10 Study Skills Day

On the afternoon of Wednesday 16th November all of our year 10 students will be taking part in a study skills workshop, provided by Learning Performance.

The aim of the workshop is to improve students’ understanding of study skills; explaining and demonstrating how to learn at GCSE level. The workshop is fun and fast moving, in a style that empowers students to take control over their learning. It will equip students with strategies that can enhance their approach to academic life and prepare them for their forthcoming exams and controlled assessments. We have delivered this workshop for a number of years and our students have found them to be exceptionally useful and enjoyable.

Some examples of the feedback that Learning Performance have received are:

“The presenters worked well with their groups eliciting a very positive work ethic within an atmosphere of fun and challenge.”

“I learnt how to learn which was the best part.”

In the evening, from 6pm to 7pm, there will be a presentation given to parents and students by Learning Performance which will allow parents to develop an understanding of how to support their son’s learning and achieve the best possible results.

We look forward to seeing you and your son there, and thank you for working in partnership with us.
