In Flanders Fields

Staff and students gathered today for a whole school assembly to remember those who died in times of war, prior to Remembrance Day this Sunday.

A very solemn occasion, poetry from the First World War was read out powerfully by Sixth Form students Joey Langfield and Jamie McBride. Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy Will Clay and Geoffrey Ma also read out the names of Beverley Grammar School students who fell during the First and Second World Wars.

The Last Post was played by our brass musicians to mark a period of silence which was impeccably observed by every single one of our students.
