Year 9 Option Choices Evening

Thursday 31^st January 6.00 – 7.30 p.m.

Main Hall and Surrounding Areas 

There will be two presentations in the main hall given by Mr Hamshaw-Hart, Mr Scott and Mr Hodson.  Both presentations will be the same and will outline the option choice process and give information about expectations in year 10.

Presentation 1 will be for parents and students in 9B, 9C & 9F and will last from 6.00 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.

Presentation 2 will be for parents and students in 9M & 9S and will last from 6.45 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

When not in the hall, parents and students will be able to visit subject areas to find out more about particular subjects.  To allow parents to visit more than one area each subject will repeat the information given. Subject presentations will start at the following times:

6.00     6.15     6.30     6.45     7.00     7.15

Although each of these presentations will be fairly informal they should consist roughly of:

• 5 minutes initial presentation about the subject
• 5 minutes general questions
• 5 minutes move to next presentation

Please note that Modern Foreign Languages will deliver a single presentation that will cover French, German and Spanish at the same time.  Also note that teachers will not be able to give any specific information about individual students.  More detailed individual information will be given by subject teachers at the parents’ evening on Thursday 21^st February.
