Dear Parent/Guardian
I am delighted to invite you and your son to attend his Annual Progress Review.
This is a new venture for Beverley Grammar School, and the opportunity has only been made possible by the introduction of our Vertical Tutoring System.
School will close at 2.30 pm on Friday, 8th November 2013 to enable you and your son to attend together.
Tutors will be available for you to make appointments, at your mutual convenience, at any time between
2.30 pm and 3.30 pm. There are 4/5 Year 11 students in each Tutor Group, therefore your son’s Tutor will be arranging 4/5 appointments in this time, or at a mutually convenient time. The review is expected to last approximately 15 minutes. Your son will be expected to record his appointment time in his planner and to relay this information to you accurately.
Tutors will be able to discuss: attendance, lateness, behaviour, homework and academic progress with you. They are more than willing to listen to any concerns that you may have about any aspects of your son’s learning and development.
Please be assured that Progress Reviews will run alongside regular subject-specific Parents’ Evenings.
The traditional Year 11 Parents’ Evening takes place on Wednesday, 12th February 2014.
