Johnathan in 8S took up the History Department’s challenge to make a film documentary on the morality and issues arising from the study of the British Empire, which Year 8 had been considering before Christmas.
Editing film of himself talking about the subject with images, appropriate music, maps and some other video footage, he has not only shown a growing understanding of the historical events concerned, he has made considerable progress in terms of developing the types of skills which will attract employers in the future. Hopefully more students will take up the History Department’s challenge to use the digital resources they make available in such a manner!
