Just spotted this – my comment rather late.
I was at the school when Lase of Life was filmed. Several of my friends had walk-on parts in it, including Dennis Lack our Art/Woodwork master. The ones chosen to take part included David Scruton, son of the then Mayor of Beverley, and also a good friend of mine (still going strong at 75) Michael Moth. J.J.G.Walkinton, (Headmaster) was rather “sniffy” about the whole thing but reluctantly allowed boys to take time out for filming.
