We are delighted to announce that Mrs Elaine Fairless has been awarded Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status by the HLTA National Assessment Partnership.

HLTA status is a national status originally awarded by the Training and Development Agency and currently awarded by the HLTA National Assessment Partnership. It was introduced in 2004 and over 50,000 teaching assistants nationally have now achieved the status. In order to gain HLTA status, candidates have to undertake a rigorous assessment process during which they have to demonstrate that they meet 33 professional standards in their work.

Mrs Fairless makes an incredible contribution at Beverley Grammar school and is the very first HLTA in our illustrious History. Her commitment to both the students and the staff is outstanding and over the last 13 years, she has built up strong working relationships with parents.

Mrs Fairless is truly inspirational, not just with the students she works with but also colleagues in the school. Well done Elaine, a very well deserved award, may she continue to change people’s lives for another 13 years!
