Back in November six of our Beverley Joint Sixth Form language students took part in the European Commission’s translation competition. The results are now in and many congratulations go to Esther Snelling who received a special mention for her excellent translation skills.

On Thursday 11th July, all of Year7 were treated to a French play in the Drama Studio. Mrs Groak thought that it would be a nice end of term treat for the year7 group, who have been studying French since starting at BGS in September, to put to use the skills they have been taught!
On Thursday 18th April, Mrs Groak took four Year 7 students to the Regional Final of the Routes into Languages Spelling Bee competition. Joe Bellotti, Richard Holgate, Oliver Dobson and Vinira Wijesuriya had made it through 2 heats to get this far!
