Our Art Department had a wonderful response from staff, students, parents and local residents to the 2012 Exhibition supporting the work of our talented students.
47 students and 6 staff (Mr Webb, Mr Gibson, Mrs Gosling, Mrs Harvey, Mr Parish and Mr Elvidge) set off from Morrisons Car Park at the unearthly hour of 2.15 am. Marvellous! We arrived at Liverpool Airport at 5.00 am and flew at 7.25 am. We landed at Geneva Airport and had a very pleasant 138 mile drive to Sauze D’Ouxl.

On Thursday 19th April, students from Beverley Grammar School will hear testimony from Holocaust survivor, Zigi Shipper, as part of a visit organised by Mr Morgan, Head of History at BGS, and the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET).
On Thursday, 3rd November 2011 author Gill Lewis was welcomed to the school. Year 7 students have been studying Gill’s book ‘Sky Hawk’ which tells the story of young osprey in Scotland and their migration to Africa.
It’s been a good term for visitors to Beverley Grammar School. In November, England Cricket superstar Paul Collingwood came to Beverley Grammar School to work with the School’s aspiring Year 10 cricketers. The afternoon gave the Year 10 team some important coaching before next years summer cricket. The session was organised by Yorkshire Bank for their lucky competition winner, BGS year 10 student Dominic Judd.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 16th November all of our year 10 students will be taking part in a study skills workshop, provided by Learning Performance. In the evening, from 6pm to 7pm, there will be a presentation given to parents and students by Learning Performance which will allow parents to develop an understanding of how to support their son’s learning and achieve the best possible results.
