GCSE Results 2012 – Photographs

Updated with photographs from the day.

Another successful year for the students of Beverley Grammar School.  87% of our boys gained 5A* to C grades, the best ever, and 65% achieved 5A* to C including English and Mathematics. Most pleasing was the fact that every student, 100%, achieved at least 5A* to G grades.

I would like to congratulate all our outstanding students.  Their success is due to hard work and effort and this, along an excellent attitude, has been reflected in their results.

18 students achieved at least 10 A*/A grades and a special mention should go to the following students who all achieved 14A*/A grades: Angus Lamb 14 A*s and an A grade in his AS ICT course, Cameron George 10 A* and Pierce Johnstone 9A*.  A very special mention also for Scott Calvert who, despite his continuing fight against leukaemia throughout year 11, still achieved A* in all 9 subjects that he entered and full marks in his English Literature.

I would like to thank our superb teaching and support staff for all their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm.  Their professionalism and willingness to support both within and outside the classroom has enabled our students to reach their full potential.  In addition, I would also like to thank our parents for their continued support for the school and guidance given to their sons.  Our excellent and established partnerships with parents enable our students to flourish.  Well done everyone!
