Beverley Grammar School is a vibrant, 11–18 boys’ comprehensive school with a Joint Sixth form with the neighbouring girls’ school. We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant who is a committed team worker, able to establish positive working relationships with students and adults. The person appointed will be able to show sensitivity towards students’ problems, liaise effectively with parent/carers and use initiative.


This is an exciting time to join our Learning Support team as we are growing and developing in response to the Government SEN white paper. This Level 3 LSA role will play a vital role in ensuring that ‘every child achieves and thrives’ with key responsibilities in ‘cognition and learning’, driving the development, implementation and delivery of literacy, numeracy and cognitive development programmes. If you have as passion for cognition and learning and are looking for an exciting next step in supporting young people, this may be the opportunity for you.


You will have:

  • A good standard of general education, to include Maths and English (Grade 4 or above/equivalent)
  • The ability to relate well to young people and ability to use ICT packages effectively
  • A commitment to supporting the school policies and be prepared to take part in relevant training

Experience within a secondary school is highly desirable.
