At Beverley Grammar School, the Physical Education curriculum aims to develop confident, ambitious, and resilient students who appreciate the importance of physical activity in their lives. We encourage students to challenge themselves, set personal goals, and demonstrate ambition in improving their fitness, skills, and overall well-being.
Our curriculum is designed to foster resilience, helping students understand that success in physical pursuits often requires perseverance, hard work, and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Through a variety of sports and activities, we teach students how to handle both victory and defeat with grace, fostering a growth mindset that extends beyond the sports hall.
Empathy is also central to our PE approach. By promoting teamwork, communication, and respect for others, students learn to appreciate different perspectives, supporting one another in achieving collective success.
Ultimately, we aim to inspire students to lead active, healthy lives and to become positive role models within their communities. The PE department seeks to instil a lifelong love of movement and physical activity, empowering students with the confidence to tackle challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
