The European Day of Languages is an annual event with the aim of encouraging lifelong language learning. Staff and students took part in the following during the course of the week leading up to the day itself:
1. Greet each other around the school in a language other than English
2. Take part in the QR code treasure hunt
3. Assemblies about the value of language learning
4. Form time ‘which language’ music quiz
5. Language learning quizzes and games in the library
We were also delighted to welcome four guest speakers in to speak to Year 8 and Year 9 students about the importance of learning different languages. Our guests speakers were:

Mrs Booker – Port Manager at P&O Ferries, Hull
Mrs Dobson – Admissions and Engagement & Communications Co-ordinator at the School of Languages, University of Hull
Mr Moyse – European Business Development Manager for BM Foods Limited
