In November, the PHSCE programme at Beverley Grammar School invited the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, and Humberside Fire and Rescue to visit Year 9 students.
This event was organised by Miss Hodgson, PSHCE Co-Ordinator, in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation.
The purpose of the event was to inform and demonstrate the basic skills needed to ‘restart a heart’ in the event of cardiac arrest.
This is something we believe is a very important skill for our students to possess, as issues related to heart disease and cardiac arrest become more prevalent in society.
