Super Curriculum

At Beverley Grammar School we wish to afford students every opportunity to develop their love of learning.  In order to help them do this we have developed a super curriculum, which provides students with a range of suggested activities that take their regular curriculum beyond the classroom.

These activities can take many forms: reading; watching videos online; downloading podcasts; attending lectures; visiting museums; entering academic or artistic competitions.

Engaging in super curricular activities will help students develop a love for their favourite subject or subjects. It will also enable parents to suggest suitable activities/ undertake activities with your child.

This booklet is an introduction into the wide range of activities that students can undertake to help develop their knowledge and understanding of the world in which we live. You will be able to follow all hyperlinks on the online version of this booklet, available on the curriculum area of our website.

This booklet is by no means an exhaustive list, but it is more than enough to get students started on their journey. Please note that this is not a compulsory element of school; it is a smorgasbord of ideas and suggestions which will complement the great grounding students get within their classrooms.

Suggestions? If you have any suggestions for our super curriculum, please let us know and they may well make it into a future version.
