The first of Beverley Grammar School’s annual ‘Young Musician of the Year’ competitions is being held on Tuesday 23rd October at 7pm.
Eight students will compete in the Junior age category, and ten will compete in the Senior section. Students have chosen a piece and will perform to a panel of three judges as well as the audience.
The judges will mark their performance using the following three criteria; accuracy, expression, and professionalism and presentation.The overall winner of the Competition will be awarded the Young Musician of the Year shield as well as a cash prize.
Tickets for the event are £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for concessions (students and OAPs). These can be purchased from Mrs Hughes or Mrs Turner in the Music Department, Mrs Hambleton in the Library Office, or on the door.
