Beverley Grammar School student Matthew Priday (13) has attended a national trial in Nottingham for Hockey. This Trial involved 360 boys from all over the country. Matthew represented (and captained) one of the two North East teams, which is a fabulous achievement.
As a result of this trial Matthew has now been selected for the UK Lions Hockey Team, one of only 24 boys nationally to be selected for the final squad and one of only 4 boys from the North East area.
Playing Centre back, Mathew will play in matches located in Sardinia, Glasgow and the Olympic Park in London.
