Year 9 History students were encouraged to explore not only the impact of the war on soldiers and civilians in an international and long term context, but also how the war has been interpreted in popular media. See some of their work here.
Students went to Bridlington for the annual Battle of the Bands on Monday 8th July. On Thursday 11th July, all of Year7 were treated to a French play in the Drama Studio. Mrs Groak thought that it would be a nice end of term treat for the year7 group, who have been studying French since starting at BGS in September, to put to use the skills they have been taught!

47 students (including 6 year 12 girls from the High School) and 6 staff set off for Leeds-Bradford Airport early on Saturday 23 March. How ironic then, that the annual ski trip was threatened by too much snow!
Beverley Schools have worked together on an anti-bullying initiative in 2012-2013. As part of the project, a poster competition was held, a copy of the winning poster from Beverley Grammar School can be seen here.
The Geography departments of BHS and BGS recently returned from a very successful trip to Sorrento in Italy. The trip was organised by Mrs Breen, the Head of Geography at the High School. 46 students and 5 staff departed from BHS late on Tuesday Feb 27th and travelled to Gatwick Airport.
